My Approach
My research began with a deep dive into media censorship, press freedom rankings, and global case studies, analyzing trends in press restrictions, government control, and media bias. I analyzed past and recent cases of censored news in India, identifying censorship patterns, affected audiences, and its impact on public discourse.
I leveraged high-contrast typography, glitch effects and interactive elements like QR codes and Morse code to symbolize lost or hidden information, emphasizing the impact of press suppression and censorship.

Contextual Research: Using reports from Reporters Without Borders and The Press Freedom Index, I analyzed the steady decline in India’s global press freedom ranking over recent years.
Cultural Observation: I studied patterns in how citizens, activists, and journalists use platforms like X, Instagram, and independent blogs to bypass censorship. This duality of suppression vs. resistance is a defining theme of the campaign.
Behavioral Insights: Research revealed that audiences are more likely to engage with symbolic, visually coded messages that invite participation rather than passive observation.
Strategic Positioning: Uncensored positions itself as a movement rather than a message. It has interactive campaign elements like QR codes and Morse-coded posters, allowing viewers to "decode" hidden truths themselves.
